Chromatica™ — Our Signature Color Consulting Experience

Where color learnswho you are.

Chromatica is I PAINT CO.'s signature color consulting experience — a guided journey through light, mood, and intention to discover the colors that truly belong in your space.

Introducing · Color Resonance™

The Color Resonance app

"Your colors. Your space.
Before a single brush is lifted."

Our own tool, built in-house and used in every Chromatica™ color consultation. Color Resonance™ measures how much energy a color carries in a space — every color scored 0–10 for Chromatic Energy (CE)™, derived from our proprietary Chromatic Energy Index — then composes your palette and shows it in your own space, before work begins.

  • Every color scored for Chromatic Energy, with its emotional tone in designer language
  • Palettes built from 7,000+ colors — Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, and Torginol Epoxy
  • See your space in your colors and epoxy finishes — before work begins
Included with every Chromatica™ consultation — part of the craft, never sold separately.
Color Resonance — the Prism Sigil
Color Resonance™ · Our Own Tool

Find the color that feels right — before we paint.

Most people can tell when a color is wrong. They just can’t say why, and by then the walls are done. Color Resonance is our own tool, built in-house and used in every Chromatica™ consultation. It measures how much energy a color brings into a room, tells you how it will feel to be in, and checks the whole scheme together — using real paint you can buy, by name and number.

Chromatic Energy™ · CE

What the number means

Every color carries a charge. Some settle a room; some wake it up. Chromatic Energy is our measure of that charge — one number, nought to ten, for how much energy a color brings into a space. Low is calm and restorative. High is active and stimulating. Neither is better; they are for different rooms and different hours of the day.

It is not a mood board word. The number comes out of a model we built ourselves, weighing the physical side of a color — how saturated it is, how much light it gives back — against the psychological side, how people consistently report feeling around it. That is why two greys can read so differently, and why a palette can be beautiful on paper and still be wrong for a bedroom.

A whole palette gets its own total, because colors change each other — five colors that each read quietly can still add up to a restless room. The Chromatic Energy Index sets out the scale in full.

The Paint Catalog
The whole paint catalog, searchable — more than 7,200 colors across Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr and Kelly-Moore, by family or by name and code. Not a shade on a screen: a can you can actually order.
A color sampled from a photograph of a room
Analyzer on the left, palette on the right. Photograph your own room, drop it straight onto the swatch and tap the wall — it lifts that exact color out of the picture while the scheme on the right updates alongside it.
A palette scored as one scheme
Closest match, name, book number and reading down the left; the whole scheme scored together on the right, because colors change each other — White Dove OC-17, Hale Navy HC-154 and three more, one number for all five.

None of this is decoration for its own sake. The point is the moment you walk into the finished room and it feels right — and knowing, before we start, that it will.

The Journey

Three movements, one revelation

Color is not chosen from a fan deck. It is discovered — in how your rooms hold the morning, in how you want a space to feel, in what a home is meant to say.

I. Light

We read the room

How daylight moves through your space, hour by hour — because color lives in light.

II. Mood

We listen to you

The feeling each room should carry: calm, energy, warmth, focus. Your palette begins with your life.

III. Intention

We compose the palette

A curated color story for your space — tested on your walls, in your light, before commitment.

The Seven Studies

The art of Environmental Alchemy

It is a process. A presence. A philosophy. Seven studies — applied where they serve your space best.
