Most painting companies warrant their work for two years, then ask you to pay for the materials when something goes wrong. We do it differently — because a warranty that costs you money isn't a warranty. It's an invoice with better manners.
If our coating peels, blisters, flakes, or fails to adhere because of how we prepared or applied it, we come back and make it right. Interior and exterior alike.
Labor and materials both. You will never be asked to buy paint to fix our work — a clause our national competitors write into their warranties, and we won't.
Sell your home during the term and the warranty transfers once to the new owner, at no cost. Good work should raise what your house is worth — not expire when you hand over the keys.
Before your first year is out, we return to walk every surface we painted. Catching something early is easier on everyone than finding it late — and it's how we'd want it done at our own homes.
Where a spot repair would show, we refinish corner to corner. We would rather redo an entire wall than leave you looking at a blemish where the fix went.
Different surfaces live different lives. Rather than exclude the hard ones the way most companies do, we cover them honestly for the term they can actually hold.
| Interior walls, ceilings, trim, and doors | 5 years |
| Exterior vertical surfaces — siding, trim, fascia, stucco | 5 years |
| Cabinet and millwork refinishing (adhesion) | 5 years |
| Venetian plaster, interior decorative and faux finishes | 5 years |
| Epoxy floor coatings (adhesion and delamination) | 5 years |
| Decks, railings, stairs, porch floors, handrails | 2 years |
| Stained, varnished, and marine brightwork | 2 years |
| Exterior murals and hand-painted signage | 2 years |
Most companies exclude decks, railings, and stairs from coverage entirely. We'd rather cover them honestly than pretend they don't exist.
Not a sales call. A walk-through of every surface we coated, at your convenience, while everything is still easy to correct.
"We would rather redo a whole wall than leave you looking at a patch."
Where a spot repair blends invisibly, we spot-repair. Where it wouldn't — sprayed cabinetry, epoxy floors, plaster, and deep or very light colors that flash — we refinish to the nearest natural break: the full door face, the full cabinet run, wall corner to corner, the full floor section. Repairs of that scale are scheduled properly rather than rushed during a walk-through, because the point is to leave the surface uniform, not merely covered.
This warranty covers our workmanship. It does not cover damage we did not cause — and we'd rather say so in six plain lines than bury it in six pages.
If you're unsure whether something is covered, call us. We would rather look at it than argue about it.
The premium coatings we specify carry manufacturer product warranties of their own — in some lines, for as long as you own the home. Those cover the paint itself and specifically exclude labor. Ours covers the labor. Between them, both halves of the job are accounted for, which is not something a low bid can say.
The full warranty accompanies every written estimate — free, itemized, and honest about what it covers. Serving the entire Monterey Bay.
