What it actually is
True Venetian plaster is lime putty and marble dust — essentially liquid stone — troweled on in multiple whisper-thin layers, each pass burnished so the surface compresses and begins to shine from within. The color isn't on the wall; it's in the material, tinted through every layer. That's the source of the signature depth: light enters the surface, bounces between translucent layers, and returns changed. Paint reflects. Plaster glows.
